A historic Waddle and Dobb style house on the banks of the Medina River.

This house, built by the Krause family, sits on the bank of the Median River.  It served as the ferry station for people who needed to cross the river while traveling to or from San Antonio.  The Krause served as the post master for the area known then as Mann's Crossing.  He would sort the mail on his kitchen table.  He sons joined the Texas Rangers and would often spend the night at the family home with their prisioners they were escorting to San Antonio for trial.  The house is now owned by Southwest ISD.
